My name is Gloria Nielfa, and from a young age I have felt deeply connected to the sea and the mystique of mermaids and seashells.
I carry an endless world of imagination within me. When I look at the symbolism of a mermaid, I recognize myself in it: “Freedom, transformation, intuition, and the connection between the human and the divine world. Mermaids are often seen as symbols of independence, selfdiscovery, and the untamable force of nature, especially in relation to the oceans.”
SoulArtelier and the sea are woven into my personal history. I grew up along the coast, where the beach was my playground and the sea my constant background sound.
For me, the mermaid embodies intuition and transformation. She reminds me to move with the current and the energy of the moment.
This aligns beautifully with the symbolic layers I’ve described before. The art is given space to transform—sometimes abstract, sometimes figurative—depending on what wishes to reveal itself.
